The Westgate Cabana Club is managed and run by a group of dedicated volunteers.  There are eight distinct positions on the WCC Board of Directors (“Board”).  Each September, Club members elect nominees to these Board positions to serve for the subsequent Club season.  Elected Board members serve a term of one year, and may serve up to three years consecutively on the Board. The Board may appoint unfilled Board positions and Committee members as needed to support management of the Club.

In exchange for their service, Board and Committee members receive a free membership and a discount on swim lessons, parties, and guest pass punch cards. The transition from the previous Board to the new Board occurs at the General Meeting of the Membership in September.

Serving on the Board is an opportunity to be more involved in the pool community while working with fellow members who are committed to making the Westgate Cabana Club the best it can be. It is also a great place to learn and apply new skills and provide leadership and mentoring to youth (lifeguards, swim instructors and interns).  If you are interested in joining the Board for the upcoming pool season, then please submit a Nomination Form. Nomination PROCESs

  • All Board positions are eligible for nominations, including those held by incumbents.  However, we recommend focusing the nomination process upon “open” positions rather than upon Board positions where incumbents have expressed a willingness to continue serving.
  • Candidates need to obtain 10 signatures from current members in support of their nomination
  • Membership of candidates and signing members must be in good standing
  • Limit of one signature per family
  • Board members currently serving are eligible to add their names to the nomination form
  • Nomination forms are due by September 17st.


  • Members with completed Nomination forms will appear on the ballot
  • The Club will send email communication to members when voting is officially open
  • Members are encouraged to Vote Online for nominated members
  • The Secretary will certify the election results and announce composition of the new board at the General Meeting of the Membership held on Saturday, September 26th.  At the conclusion of this meeting, the previous Board members are relieved of their service and the new Board members begin their service.
  • The Board may appoint unfilled Board positions and Committee members as needed to support management of the Club
