Can I bring my own decorations? Yes, you may bring your own decorations, but please allow enough time for clean up before the next party arrives. Please also make sure to remove all tapes or ribbons from your decoration after the party.
Can I hang a pinata? For the safety of our guests we do not allow pinatas. Games offered on premises include foosball and ping-pong, and a Cabana Kids Corner with age appropriate toys available for play. Please alert your dedicated Party Lifeguard if any balls go over the fence.
Can we play music? No, per our City of San Jose permit, no amplified sound is permitted.
Can I use the fridge in the office? Yes, you may store items in the fridge and freezer during your party. You provide your own food and beverages. There is also an electrical outlet.
Is alcohol allowed during parties? Yes, alcohol is permitted, but not on the pool deck. Please drink responsibly. Absolutely no glass bottles.
Are BBQ grills available? Yes, there are two gas and two charcoal grills available for use during your party. Grills are available on a first come first serve basis. Please bring your own charcoal and clean up after using the grill. Tools to clean the BBQ are located under the sink in the office.
Are all party guests (including members) required to sign in on the Party Guest Sign In sheet? Yes, all guests (including host family and members) must sign in on the Party clipboard at the check in desk. The sign in sheet includes a liability waiver for the Westgate Cabana Club. Parents must sign for each minor or they will not be allowed to swim. All non-swimmers have to be under direct supervision of the parent or the party host. Please alert our lifeguards of any guests that join a party without the direct supervision of a parent or guardian.
How many guests are allowed for a regular party? Maximum of 35 guests are included in your party rental rate. The guest count includes both members and non-member guests, adults and children. The Host Family (those named on the membership application) are excluded from the guest count.
How many guests are allowed for a private party? There are two options: 50 or 75 (maximum) non-member guests are included in your party rental rate. The guest count includes both members and non-member guests, adults and children. The Host Family (those named on the membership application) are excluded from the guest count.
Are Westgate Cabana Club members and infants charged towards the non-member count included in the party fee? Member guests ARE included in the guest count, but infants <1 year ARE NOT included in the guest count. However, ALL guests, regardless of whether or not they are a member, must sign in on the Party Sign in sheet located at the gatewatch desk. Parents/guardians MUST sign for each minor even if they are only dropping them off.
Do non-swimming guests count toward the limits? Yes, both swimming and non-swimming guests count towards the guest total and maximum guest limit.
Are party guests allowed to stay after the party time is over? Only members of the pool are allowed to stay after the party. Non-members host and/or guests are kindly asked to leave the pool area when the party time is up or may stay if they are accompanied by a member, however they must sign in on the regular Guest Sign In sheet located at the gatewatch desk at the end of the party.
Do you provide towels and sunscreen and bathroom amenities? No, the Club does not provide towels or sunscreen. The Club has showers, lockers, and a baby changing station available in the ladies room. Many party guests leave behind personal items such as towels, so please double check that you have all your belongings before you leave the party. If you realize that you lost something after leaving the party, you may stop by and check the lost and found.
Why do lifeguards call Adult Swim each hour? The last 15 minutes of the hour is for Adult Swim and all minors are asked to step out of the pool. This provides a chance for the lifeguards to test chlorine levels, and an opportunity for staff to have a break. It’s also a great time to remind children to use the restroom, rehydrate, reapply sunscreen or have a snack.
What if I need to cancel or reschedule? There is no refund if party is cancelled less than 14 days from scheduled event. The Host can reschedule if given at least 14 days advanced notice, depending on availability. Once party is booked, you must provide payment within 7 days or your reservation may be cancelled.
