The Westgate Cabana Club is a non-profit organization that depends on many committed volunteers to maintain the pool each season. This helps to keep the cost low for members and is fitting with the community spirit of our neighborhood pool. Below are some different ways in which we rely on volunteers. Please contact us if you are interested in being part of our volunteer team.
The pool is managed exclusively by a group of volunteers serving on the Board of Directors. However, the Board relies on many other volunteers to serve on committees to fulfill important activities, including administrative, facility and pool maintenance work. If you are interested in volunteering as a board or committee member, please visit the Board tab on our website for more details.
Interested in fulfilling your gatewatch requirement doing something other than gatewatch? There are other ways to help around the pool, particularly if you have specialized talents or skills. Some examples of specific tasks that we need help with are listed below. Hours expected would be equivalent to gatewatch hours (9 hours). Please contact us for more information.
We welcome Eagle Scout projects. Please contact us to find out how you can help with projects around the pool while satisfying your program requirements.
Thank you to Nathan Langlo for the work (landscaping and staining fence) he did for the Cabana in September 2012 as part of his Eagle Scout project.
To better serve our community, families in need of financial assistance may email the President to apply for a full or partial membership scholarship in exchange for volunteer hours.
